The site in slight declivity is located in the countryside near the beautiful preserved village of Carpanzano, in the Savuto Valley. In the preliminary study of this small country house, starting from the traditional form to hut we try to “dig” the volume where the “full” of the masonry alternates the “empty” of the windows and the porch. The double-volume living room, which overlooks the staircase and the ballatode that leads to the sleeping area, is characterized by a large stone fireplace, glazed cuts and porch that open the house to the natural context. Main proposed materials: structure of the walls in supporting masonry with moderate grafts in c.a., partly plastered and partly covered in natural stone, attics and roof with wooden structure and mantle in cups and brick channels, wooden windows, floor in smoothed concrete for living area and wooden slats for sleeping area.
