EA Palace – Raffaele Ripoli Architect

The house is located in the village of Diano di Scigliano. The facade, the object of which is likely to be of nineteenth-century origin, was modified in 1977 through the increase in height of the attic floor, the construction of 2 c.a. balconies and a slight laddering that compromised uniformity of the original cornice. The project of recovery of the facade consists in “finding” as far as possible some “original architectural elements of detail” such as the wooden lintels and the contour to the openings on the warehouse floor, the band under the stone frame that runs on the entire length of the facade, the recomposition on the main floor of the stone frames (styrites and lintels) around the openings, the original marble threshold for the balconies placed on the 2nd floor (reducing the size of the same).
